Day 31: Integrating Anxiety Management into Your New Year

So, here we are on New Year's Eve, about to start a new year. Traditionally, this is a time for setting New Year's resolutions. However, these often don't work out, so instead of creating resolutions, use the final article of this series, month, and year to create a structured plan for living with your anxiety.

It's important to remember that we cannot wholly eliminate anxiety; it's a part of who we are. After all, it's a component of our survival instinct and why we have thrived as a species. So, don't fight it—embrace it. Use anxiety as a teacher to guide you towards your goals.

Recognize your thoughts, but don't give them too much importance. Treat them as passing cars on the road. Just as we notice cars coming into view, let them go, acknowledge your thoughts as they enter your mind, and then allow them to pass.
